The Blue Mountains is a popular tourist destination west of Sydney. It consists of a series of small villages based along the highway that winds from the western outskirts of Sydney across the mountains to the western slopes and plains. Springwood, the home of The Turning Page, is situated about halfway between the western edge of Sydney and the main tourist destination of Katoomba. Surrounded by National Park and situated on the main east-west rail line it is a vibrant town with wonderful sights and bushwalks and is home to the Norman Lindsay Gallery.
